By Admin | November 23, 2008
Hi readers,
‘Teh tarik‘ is more than the favorite beverage, it is part of our Malaysian lifestyle. Some of them can’t do their work without it. It had become a daily indulgence, almost a necessity for most of Malaysian mostly old people.
A cup of ‘Teh tarik’ with every 500 ml of regular teh tarik (about two cups) contains 278 kcal, two grams of protein, 10 grams of fat and 43.7 grams of carbohydrate while the same amount of sugar lite teh tarik contains 133 kcal, 4.4 gram of protein, five gram fat and 16.5 grams of carbohydrate.
For the health-conscious, unsweetened condensed milk (evaporated milk) is used and we have a mutation with less zing known as the teh C.

I love teh tarik but I only drink it once a week when I eat at the nasi kandar restaurant. I guess it’s not healthy to drink it every day?
