What indicators did you use for this ranking? Your ranking without providing information on your methodology and indicators has no value.

Okay as I checked, it seems this ranking is based on Webometric ranking which has little with academic ranking. The webometric ranking ranks university websites.

ucsi is one of the university offering huge academic programmes..it is a very good university the only problem is that its limited with space..other wise the teachers and academic programmes are very good..it should be ranked above 29

I’m having my final semester of diploma in accountancy at UiTM. I’m still wondering should i apply my degree’s in accounting at other university. my parents try to persuade me apply into Curtin. But I’m not sure yet if that will be a good decision. Based on the ranking.. I’m doubt. ~.~

Do not trust this ranking by unscrupulous ppl. How can all the public universities rank better than private universities. Most of the public universities students are from the government’s asasi matrikulasi colleges. As an example, a few of my former school mates who are not even in the top twenty position in the school and their results not even more than 2 A+ in their SPM are now doing medical courses in public such as UMalaya,UKM, UPM etc.manage to be selected from the Asasi Matrikulasi scheme and also the bigh quota margin already alloacated to them. Whereas myself and others with 7A+ and above in the SPM have to borrow RM150K debt from PTPTN to study in a private university for the same course.
Another example, how can Insaniah U.College and Taman Pertanian Univ. rank higher than AIMST University.UCSI and AIMST University are either filled with JPA scholars with 9A+ and above or students with all A+ in Maths & Science subjects to qualify for degree courses whereas public universities student are only happen to be in there through quota system already allocated and spoon fed to them. Just appraise your logic properly.

You are absolutely correct. Nowadays public universities are all filled with Asasi Matrikulasi Kolej students. The other criteria for selecting student for public universities are using STPM results. Nowadays, good student already all left for JPA scholarship or doing A-levels which is worldwide recognised. The leftover will do form sixth and force to sit for STPM. That’s why the only Malaysian public university, Univ.Malaya, recognised by GMC (UK) was derecognised by GMC now due to the Malaysian government policy of low quality entry intake into public universities, even for medical courses. The Malaysian government emphasized on quota system at the expense of quality entry qualification. In Malaysia, the one year Asasi Matrikulasi course is prefered over other higher standard qualification, even for critical courses like medicine, dentistry and engineering. Soon the major universities like UM / UKM and UiTM will lose out to other private universities in quality of student. For example, UiTM is like selling houses. It is a bumi lot house.
